They are kid sized and fit my 3yo . They stay on well and do not fall off of his head. They are adjustable so they should work for older kids too. The wiring and wire connection points are VERY solid looking. The wires are much thicker than any compact headphone set I have ever owned in my life. The entry points where the wires go into the headphones are VERY thick and durable looking. The headphone jack is standard size, but the plug shell and wire entry points into the headphone jack are very thick and solid looking. The whole setup looks very durable without looking too big or clumsy. There is a little grey box (about the size of a matchbox) in the headphone line that limits the max volume. There are no controls on the box, it just limits the max volume. I was a bit worried how that would work, but I'm very satisfied with it. If I turn my mp3 player to maximum volume, the headphone volume is limited to a kid friendly... It was purchased for a little boy just under three years old. We hoped to help him get through a long plane ride. The headphones are small enough for a toddler and work just fine. He fidgeted with them a bit, but settled in to his video. I had tried a different brand that was supposed to be for children but they were too big. The idea behind them is good, but the source item had to be turned up to blasting volume to be able to hear it at all on the headphones. We definitely could not use them in a car or any other area that had background noise. The seemed well made, but the heavy regulator box is too far up the cord towards the child's head - it would be more comfortable for it to be lower down the cord. We were disappointed. |
